A Brief Introduction to the Art Department

Creativity and self-expression have always been essential to our humanity. At TPS our ambition is to provide an art curriculum that allows our pupils to develop their creativity, resilience, independence, and imagination.

We aim to develop passionate and curious learners that can understand and experience the world in new ways. We will expose students to art and improve their knowledge and understanding of art and culture from around the globe. Our curriculum will enable students to understand the formal elements of art in-depth and be able to apply their knowledge to their own art.

Students who study art will leave us having the confidence to express themselves not only through their artwork but will have the knowledge and understanding to engage in critical conversations around art as culture.
